In 1978, an avid angler named Doug Gold decided to design and build the perfect 26 foot fishing boat from scratch. The reason was his frustration in finding the perfect fishing boat on the market. Quickly, Gold Line Boats became highly sought after by top professional fisherman, local fishing guides, and commercial fisherman within Florida. Mr. Gold's philosophy for Gold Line Boats was very high quality with low production. Gold Line was kept a secret among the professional fisherman for over 30 years because of its high demand and low supply. In 2002 Doug Gold retired from boat building, and sold Gold Line Boats through a selective process that would insure his vision of producing quality boats.

Over the past five years, Gold Line Boats has assembled a dedicated design team to incorporate the latest innovations in boat designs while maintaining its traditional lines. Gold Line Boats is committed to continuing Mr. Gold's vision of producing high quality boats that are built one boat at a time. The one major change of Gold Line Boats is to now make it available to the avid angler, not just professional fisherman.
